MEDICAL ELECTROLYSIS

Electrolysis involves placing a sterilised needle into the follicle and transmitting a short pulse of energy into the follicle. This electrical energy destroys the hairs regenerative cells and the treated hair is then removed.

Electrolysis is safe and effective and has been in use since 1875 and is the only scientifically and medically FDA approved permanent hair removal method. The treatment should only be performed by experienced Certified Electrologists who have high standards in promoting industry leading hygienic practice.

Skin will not be damaged in the hands of an experienced, qualified professional who have accurate needle insertion technique. Reactions if any are minor, you may experience slight redness and swelling lasting a few hours. The texture of the skin will be finer and velvety when the pores are no longer held open by the blunt end of the hair.

It is normal to feel a slight heat and tingling sensation. Some parts of the body are more sensitive than others but adjustments can be made by the Electrologist to provide a comfortable treatment. Numbing cream may be applied 15 mins prior to your treatment, available complimentary in clinic.

Electrolysis is suitable for most areas of the face and body and is particularly popular for facial hair, hairline, eyebrows, underarms, bikini line, breasts and abdomen. It is also suitable for any hair and skin colour, age and gender
